Opt-in, Opt-out or Unsubscribed Email & Text

Overview

When a family creates a swim account they have the option to opt in or out of email and text communication with us. We always want accounts to have one email and phone number opted-in for communication. We never sell customers information to 3rd parties.

Opt-in vs Opt-out

From the family page you can see text opt-in has a chat bubble and email opt-in is normal text

In Family Details selected boxes with receive text and email.

Resubscribe

Email: Once a family has unsubscribed to email the only way to resubscribe is by logging into their Portal and selecting to opt-in. This cannot be overridden by staff.

Text: To resubscribe after stopping messages, a customer can reply to the number with "Start", "Yes" or "Unstop". This cannot be overridden by staff.

The Hubbard Way

  • We use email and text for quick communication such as waitlist notification, class cancellation, overdue account reminder and more.    
  • Text message is not capable of receiving text messages back.
  • For Push Notification they need to opt-in from their phone HubbardSwim app settings.
