Adding Liquid Chlorine to the Pool:
Option 1 The preferred method would be to add chlorine through the slurry tank.
- Swimmers may be in the pool when this is being done.
- Add a maximum of 1 gallon of chlorine at a time & fill the rest of the slurry tank with water before sending it into the pool via the ‘Slurry Suction Line’
- Add based on the Chlorine Table below.
Option 2 Add chlorine through the venturi feeding system.
- To add chlorine through the venturi feeding system, turn the yellow lever above bucket so water is pouring out.
- Open the vacuum valve so water is training out of the bucket at the same rate or slightly slower. Very important to make sure no air gets sucked into the system.
- Slowly pour chlorine into bucket and wait a minute or so for it to be sucked into system.
- Once it appears all chlorine is out of bucket, shut off vacuum valve and turn off water pouring into bucket.
Option 3 Add chlorine directly to the pool and allow time for dispersion.
- It will be a minimum of 30 minutes before swimmers can return to the pool.
Use the table below to determine how much liquid chlorine to add in order to raise the chlorine level by 1ppm, 2ppm, or 3ppm.

Small Pool - 10k Gallons
To Raise: Add: 1ppm……........13oz (1½ cups) 2ppm………....26oz (3 cups) 3ppm…...…....39oz (5⅓ cups)

Large Pool - 50k Gallons
To Raise: Add: 1ppm……........64oz (½ gallon) 2ppm…….......128oz (1 gallon) 3ppm………....192oz (1½ gallon)

- 1 cup = 8 fluid oz.
- 1 gallon = 128 fluid oz. = 16 cups
