- Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) is an account administered by the Arizona Department of Education and funded by state tax dollars to provide education options for qualified Arizona students.
- ClassWallet is the company that distributes ESA funds.
- ESA swimmers billed at HFSS' normal tuition rates.
- Hubbard Family Swim School will accept ESA payment by ESA debit or personal credit/debit card.

Two Payment Options:
- Personal Debit/Credit Card. You will submit receipts to ClassWallet for reimbursement.
- ESA Debit Card. The state is not issuing new cards; however, if you have an ESA Card, you can put it on file. Funds will be deducted directly from your ClassWallet account, and you will submit receipts as proof of purchase.

Note: Since HFSS no longer manages ESA swimmer they do not need staff to complete enrollment and payments so this step very well could not happen
- Account: Guardian must create an account to allow us to enroll.
- Send ESA Process to family based on the number of swimmers
- “1 student enrolled”

- Enrollment can be completed by staff or Customer Portal
Drop Process
Treat the family as you would any other for all HFSS procedures. If there is a swim credit due to their drop date we are happy to refund the ESA funds.

Can HFSS edit the payment receipt to add the instructor's name or other information?
No. The receipt is a PDF generated by iCP and can not be altered.
Can HFSS adjust which student gets the discount for lessons?
HFSS cannot change which student receives this discount, as it is automatically assigned. See Monthly Billing for how discounts are calculated. Options are to put swimmers on separate accounts with no discount or allow the discount to apply to one account automatically.
Can I put my swimmers on separate accounts so each account has their own card to run automatically with the Direct Debit?
Yes! You will need an email address for each account you want to set up. Let us know when you have created your accounts and we will add a family note to not combine these accounts into one. Create a guardian named "Account 1" last name "ESA".
What if the family is waiting on ESA funds?
Please review the student process above. We do not extend tuition for lack of ESA funds. Parents would pay with their personal card and then request reimbursement from ESA.
This is the same for families insisting on using ClassWallet. They can pay using ClassWallet. HOWEVER, if there is a delay in ESA releasing funds, it is still the parent's responsibility to complete payment by the due date to maintain enrollment. This means we require a card on file and will use that card if there is not a credit available when a balance is due. The family can then submit that month's receipt for reimbursement from ESA and when their ClassWallet funds are received it will be applied to future swim tuition.
