“Water Safe” - hearing different answers or mention of swim levels that equate to a child being water safe. Helpful phrases:

• Tell me what you mean by “water safe”.
• We believe in making kids safer.
• We teach kids to love and respect the water.
• No one should ever swim alone no matter how good they swim.
• We teach independence in the water. Independent swimmers must still have adult supervision.  
• An example of progression could be parent who was in the water moving to sitting on the edge of the pool with no distractions.
