Answer

Baby Splash is age based.

The month the swimmer turns 5 months we automatically enter a drop date reflecting the child's final class at 6 months old. We send an email notifying last day and information about Little Snapper 1. This is the only level that HFSS stops a swimmer from continuing.

Little Snappers & Clownfish are age based.

When your child turns 3 we do not "kick you out" of your class, however we highly encourage you to move to a Goldfish. The month the swimmer is aging into the new level we send an email to families with information of what level is next and start looking for a class time that work or to get on the waitlist.

Goldfish and above levels are skill based.

Instructors and Deck Supervisors are always evaluating swimmers! Skills for these levels are typically updated in the system every 6 - 8 weeks. Skills are checked off when a swimmer masters that skill. Master means that the swimmer can perform a skill consistently (3-4 lessons), comfortably, and confidently. Once a child has mastery of all skills in a level, they will be promoted!
